I am the freakin queen of carbs
I will never give up carbs completely
When Keto blew up overnight it seemed, I was VERY triggered!
Take away carbs??!
Oh Hexxx No! Lol 😂
Never ever would I Or could I…
BUT I do know that I used to have an overindulgence issue with carbs.
In particular the kind that are processed foods that go straight to your hips and make it harder for you jeans to slide on… The kind that make you have to stuff your belly into your leggings. The kind that have you super bloated and have your energy levels feeling like trash afterwards.
Having a baby isn’t what what had me overweight. BUT the hormones I was on for birth control afterwards did have me pack more weight than I’d ever seen on myself at the time…
I was willing to do anything BUT cut carbs…
If your a mom in a similar situation (low energy, want to lo but don‘t want to cut carbs what can you do about it?
I learned that adding is a lot easier than subtracting. You can add 2 cups of veggies the your lunch and dinner… Eat them first to allow your body to get satisfied on them first.
Add to your water intake prior to even eating your meal. Drink 16 oz of water before you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner so that you quinch your thirst first and don’t overindulge on food when some of your cravings was thirst related
Save your carb count for the end of the day. Many of the clients that come to me say they have trouble snacking at night. Saving your carb count until the end of the day can help you stay of track with your goals without feeling guilty.
Remember Carbs are not the enemy. Veggies, Fruits, Whole grains, Beans & Legumes make up your carbs! They are NOT the enemy. Man made processed foods are. Differentiate the two groups in your mind and learn to keep the processed foods to a minimum or in moderation.
