One thing that is crucial to make sure that your workouts effective for my mommies and nurses that is rest & recovery.
You might already know, working out is the process of BREAKING our muscles down.
but rest and recovery plays the vital role of building our muscles back up.
Which is essentially the goal that we had in mind in the first placeโฆ๐คฏ
Building muscle. ๐ช๐ฝ
So your body is toned and sculpted ๐
Hereโs some tips to maximize your recovery โค๏ธโ๐ฉน:
๐Make sure youโre getting at least six hours of sleep each night.
I personally take natural de-stress plus sleep aid vitamins,
๐Use the bedtime app on my Apple iPhone that alerts me an hour before I want plan to go to bed so that I can start winding down, and purposefully set it to wake me up in 6 to 8 hours.
๐Having a nighttime routine and or sitting in bed with dim lights with no phone screen blue light can help your mind and body get ready to wind down.
๐Make sure that when youโre doing your at home workouts that you give yourself 1 to 2 rest days a week.
๐Make sure that youโre stretching after every workout and allowing your muscles to cool down properly.
๐Try to make sure youโre getting adequate protein intake after each workout to assist your body and building your muscles back up.
๐This can be in the form of BCAAs, a protein shakes, collagen supplement, and or eating a nutrient dense meal.
๐If you have an Apple Watch there are some apps that will also help you track your sleeping patterns.
